In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret group.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
