During a commanding performance, England wrapped up one more victory versus Albania, with several squad members delivering standout performances on the pitch.

Dean Henderson Not a save required during the opening 45 but then called into action by Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. A sliding challenge against an Albanian attacker demonstrated sharp game intelligence. 6/10

The defender Pushed up the pitch on the ball, as he has done in the past. At times lacked urgency when carrying play and the experiment abandoned at half-time. 6

The tall defender A nuisance from dead balls, as always, could serve as another option for Stones in the backline instead of paired with him. One wayward pass after the break almost led to the first goal from Albania. 6

The young full-back One more composed display from the rising star following his first cap versus another side. A teammate was unable to take the opportunity from a gorgeous backheel over the Albania defence. The left-back spot is firmly his at this stage. Seven

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning for his country. A bit careless in possession though his dangerous set-pieces caused problems. A useful game manager available to the coach to utilize against teams who drop deep. Cautioned for a poorly timed foul. 6/10

Declan Rice Crosses on corner kicks and free kicks were dangerous. Was given freedom to drift on the left but was in an offside position when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Given a merited substitution after an hour. 6

Jude Bellingham Played in a forward position out wide and contributed with the hard yards. Showed flashes of quality and mishit an attempt wide. Replaced late on by Rogers, his competition, after being booked. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's best chance in the opening period, his strike excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah hanging back, it fell to him to stretch the play on the right although his balls from the touchline were hit and miss. Taken off late in the match. Six

The captain The match-winner netting seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes in an England shirt. The first a classic close-range tap-in and his next a classy finish with his head following a clever run from his marker. Now 32, he’s only getting better and England stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a decent opportunity when set up by Bellingham yet the keeper kept it out. Rashford made much more of effect after coming on. Five
